How do I do my makeup with a NG/NJ Tube

For the time being I have an NJ tube and I have found that I have had to make a few adjustments in terms of makeup. But just because you are sick and have a feeding tube it doesn't mean you can't have fun with makeup so here are the tips I have. But remember makeup is FUN so do what you want these are just tips that I have found useful.

1) Don't get the foundation on or under the tape as it won't stick- I learnt that the hard way!

2) You can still have blush on the side where the tube isn't taped- just use a natural colour so that it doesn't look to obvious

3) I avoid highlight especially on the nose area if your nose is uncovered or only covered a little bit as you don't want to draw attention to the tube (at least I don't)

4) If you want to do something different to makeup you can draw pictures on your tape- I drew this christmas tree for a christmas party

5) I would spend more time on the eyes and lips than the face as it will help draw away from the face and help to draw attention to your eyes or lips instead of the tube.

6) Most of all HAVE FUN!!!

MAC Lipstick Wishlist

Sometimes it is fun to dream about what you would buy if you had the money- its like online shopping without the spending. So I thought it would be fun to share the lipsticks from MAC that I would love to own. I only have 4 things from MAC and I probably won't ever get all of these things but it is fun to dream!

If you have experience with any of these products please let me know if it is worth the splurge. I was also thinking of making this a series what do you think about that?

Hot Gossip:  This is such a pretty easy pink that I think I would get a lot of use out off it has that pop of pink without being over the top and I think it would go with a lot of different eye looks

Benefit Boxed Blushes Review

Today I am going to review the Benefit Boxed Blushes. I love these and I own most of the blushes in the line so I thought I would review them as I use them pretty much everyday, they are pretty much the only blushes  I use.

First lets talk about the packaging. The packaging on all of them is very cute and functional, it is a little bulky though so it may not be ideal for travel. It has a brush with all of them that is actually useable!!

Next lets talk about the formula- the formula is pretty much the same throughout all of the blushes. It is very smooth feeling, it is pigmented enough to go on easily but without being so pigmented that it is hard to not look like a clown!! I really think that this formula is one of the best blush formulas I have ever used,

They are $51 AUD from Myers but there is a lot of product for the price and it would take you a long time to use it up!

Now lets talk about all the different colours.

1. Hoola- This one is a bronzing powder that is a colour that would be very versatile. It doesn't make you look orange at all. It is also a pure matte colour which makes  it perfect for contouring

2. Coralista- this blush is a warm coral pink colour that looks great on everyone- it is fantastic for everyday and goes great with pretty much every eye look

3. Dandelion- I don't own this one so I can't say much about this from personal experience but the website says:

  • It is a sheer ballerina pink face colour
  • Has a hint of shimmer
  • Can sweep on checks as a soft blush or dust all over face as a brightening face powder
4. Hervana- this is a orchid blossom blush that is a mix of 4 colours which according to the website are "shell, peach, rose and berry. It is such a gorgeous colour and it looks great on a few different skin tones.  I absolutely love it.

5.  Dallas- I use this one a lot especially on days when I am not wearing a lot of makeup and when I don't know what blush will go with my eye makeup. It gives your complexion a natural looking glow. You can either use it as a blush or all over to give a "sun kissed" look.

6. Rockateur- This is my favourite out of all of them, I wear this one most days. It is described as a rose gold colour which it sort of is, it has very fine gold shimmer through it but it doesn't look over the top. If you are going to buy one of these this is the one I would recommend.

7. Sugarbomb- I don't own this one so I can't talk from personal experience but this is what they say on the website:

  • It is a mix of 4 shades: peach, soft plum, pink and rose
Bella Bamba- this one is a limited edition blush but you can still get it in a set on Benefits US website- if you purchase $125AUD (which is easy to go) you get free international shipping.
This is a gorgeous watermelon pink colour with a decent amount of shimmer. It is such a pretty colour that really brightens up your face.

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed this! Please comment below your favourite benefit blush or any blush and feel free to share! It really helps me out.

Top 5 Cheek Products

Today I am going to tell you about my favourite cheek products.

1. Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle:

I absolutely love this highlighter it is so nice and it looks so nice on the cheeks, I also love to use this as a eyeshadow. I wouldn't usually spend so much money (AUD $47) on a highlighter but this one is definitely worth it.

2. Benefit Dallas Boxed Blush:

This blush is incredibly easy to wear mauve blush and it looks very natural on the cheeks, you can use it to bronze up the face (not so much to contour) and it is also a great eyeshadow blending colour so it is a great one to take when you travel!!

3. Benefit Bella Bamba Boxed Blush:

This is a sweet pink colour with a little bit of a sheen and sparkle through it but not in a overpowering way so it is easy to pull off. I feel like this one looks really nice on light skin tones.

4. Natio Mineral Blush in Pink Apples:

This is a really nice pinky/purple colour and it is so nice, it looks fantastic on. It does have quite a bit of shimmer so if you don't like shimmer I would definitely stay away from it but so long as you don't overdo it it is great- also you don't need to add a highlighter on top so it saves a step!

5. Benefit Rockatour Boxed Blush:

This blush is probably my favourite blush of all time. I think it is so pretty and easy to wear if I don't know what blush to wear this one is the one I reach for

Thank you so much for reading- I hope this helped you out! Should I do a whole top 5 series? And what products would you like me to do?

Top 5 Lip Products

Today I am going to talk to you about my top 5 favourite lip products! This was a really hard one for me to narrow it down.

1. MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr:

This lipstick is so pretty! It is incredibly easy to pull off I think that a range of skin colours. It is a very comfortable matte and stays a long time.

2. MAC Lustre Lipstick in Plumful:

This lipstick is a really pretty, wearable purple. It is a colour that does not look over the top and it is very moisturising. The only complaint I have is that it wears off incredibly easily as it is a lustre formula.

3. NYX Butter Gloss in Vanilla Creme Pie:

I love all of the NYX butter glosses they are incredibly comfortable on the list and it doesn't wear off too easily either. My favourite colour is Vanilla Creme Pie as its very wearable and you can wear it over anything

4. Revlon Lipbutter in 001 Pink Truffle:

This is a very comfortable formula, the colour is a brownish pinky colour. It is so natural that even on days when I am not wearing makeup I can throw it on as a lip balm and it doesn't look strange against my bear face

5.  Colour Sensational Lipstick in Pink Wink:

This colour is also very comfortable I find that it lasts a long time and the pink colour is one that isn't super natural but not too out there either.

Benefit Products Overview

I already have a post on the benefit boxed blushes but I own a lot of other benefit products so I thought that I would review the other products I own for you.

1. Benetint- This is a rose tinted stain for lips and cheeks. When I was researching for this post I found a interesting fact: "It was originally created for an exotic dancer in the 1970's). I don't really like any of the tints as I find them hard to blend out and they leave dots on your face which is not a good look!

2. Posietint- Poppy Pink stain for lips and cheeks

3. Cha Cha Tint- A mango tinted stain for lips and cheeks. I really like wearing this one under the Coralista Blush

4. Girl Meets Pearl- This is a Soft Golden Pink Liquid Pearl Luminizer. This is such a pretty highlight its also a really nice highlight to wear under powder highlights

5. Sunbeam- This is the same formula as the 'tints'. I find that I have the same problem with it leaving dots on my face and it also would suit darker skin tones better- I want to get the high beam highlight.

6. Porefessional Face Primer- this is the only primer that I feel actually works. It is a silicone feeling primer that really does a good job of minimising your pores. It is also oil free.

7. That Gal Brightening Primer- its a pink coloured primer that does a really good job of brightening when I have had a bad night and need to look awake I use it.

8. They're Real Mascara- I love this mascara I use it a lot, it is great for the bottom lashes too. I also find that the NYX Le Chick Flick Mascara works pretty much the same though

So please let me know in the comments your favourite benefit products and if you enjoyed this please share as it helps me out!

Makeup Roundup #1 Monday 14th to Sunday 20th

I have decided to start recording the makeup I wear so that I can share with you my opinions of the products and the finished look so here is the first in my new Makeup Roundup Series

Monday 14th:

Foundation: Loreal Infalliable Pro Matte in 22 Radiant Beige (this is such a gorgeous long-lasting  foundation but I think I have a shade too dark)

Concealer: LA Girl Pro Conceal H.D Concealer in GC972 (this is a gorgeous concealer that has great coverage but looks really natural)

Powder (s): Under my eyes I used the Banana shade from the Australis ACONTOUR palette which gives a really nice highlighted effect and on the rest of my face I used the Rimmel Lasting Finish Powder Foundation in 003 Silky Beige- this is really nice it adds extra coverage without looking cakey.

Contour:  I used a contour colour from the Australis ACONTOUR palette. I used the middle cool tone colour.

Blush: For my blush I used the Benefit Rockatour boxed blush which is by far my favourite blush of all time

Highlight: I used the MAC Soft and Gentle highlighter which is my favourite highlight

Eyeshadow Base: I used the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk which really helps to make the colours on your eyes stand out

Eyeshadow: For my eyeshadow I used the Stila Nouveau Natural Eyeshadow palette which is a beautiful palette

Mascara: I used the NYX Le Chick Flick M
