Stila In the Light Palette Review

Today I am going to review the very popular Stila in the Light Palette. I love the packaging. It is a tiny bit thick but not bad compared to a lot of palettes. A very cute touch is that above the mirror it has a quote that says "Believe in the Beauty of the future"- Sarah Lucero.  It comes with 10 shades and a eyeliner in Damsel. It is a fantastic everyday palettes and something that everyone could get a lot of use out of it.
My favourite colours in the palette are Kitten and Sunset.

First Half
Second Half
Top Row L-R: Bare, Kitten, Bliss, Sunset, Sandstone

Bottom Row L-R: Bubbly, Gilded Gold, Luster, Night Sky, Ebony
Stila makes fantastic metallic eyeshadows so the shimmers are fantastic in here and there are enough mattes to complete a nice matte look as well. It is incredibly easy to use and I do see similarities to the naked palette in here especially with the blue.

My everyday makeup routine

I wanted to show you all my everyday makeup routine. First off I want to make it clear that I don't wear makeup every single day but I do wear it most days not because I feel that I have to but because I enjoy it.

So here is what I do...

Here is my face before:

First I prime my skin with the Benefit Porefessional. This is the only primer that I have found that actually works. It is a silicone texture and feels in your pores to make your foundation go on smoother.

Then I go in with foundation. I am using the Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I have not enjoyed it as much as I thought I would. The coverage is very light and my tinted moisturisers can offer better but it does stay on for a long time and when I put a powder foundation over it I love the look it gives. I don't think I will buy it again but I am definitely going to use it all up. I find that I like it better when applied with a brush rather than a beauty blender when I usually prefer the beauty blender. I put it on using the ELF Kabuki Face Brush

Here is my face after applying the foundation

Then I go in with concealers. I have really bad dark circles so I use 2 different concealers the L.A Girl Pro Conceal (which I love but the applicator gets really dirty which is annoying) and the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer which I love for highlighting. Lately I have been really into highlighting and contouring. I use the beauty blender to blend these in.

My Face after the Concealer

Then I go in with the Nude by Nature Mineral Cover Powder which I love and I think pairs very well with the Nars foundation. I use the limited edition brush by Nude. Its their powder brush but in pink.

Then I contour and highlight with the Australis AC on Tour Contouring and Highlight using the banana shade to set and highlight under my eyes using a no name colour theory brush.

Then I set the places I highlighted with the Australis Cosmetics AContour Palette using the banana shade

Then I contour using the middle powder on the second row. I use just a standard angled contour brush. This is a fantastic colour for contouring.

Then I use a blush this is the rockateur blush by benefit I do change it up but most of the time this is what I use.

I change up my lipstick and eyes everyday so I didn't include that. Soon there will be an eyeshadow tutorial.

Please let me know if you enjoy this sort of post and please leave any suggestions below! And share this post it means a lot to me. Thank you for reading

Lorac Pro 2 Review

I reviewed the Lorac Pro 1 2 weeks ago so I decided to review the Lorac Pro 2 for those wondering which one they should get.
This palette has the same formula as the first. The shadows are very pigmented and they do mattes pretty well- some brands just can't get that one right. They are very easy to blend which makes them great for beginners but can cause problems as it is easy to over blend and then the shadows end up looking muddy. I don't think this palette is as versatile so I would get the first one if you just want a versatile palette and are not a makeup junkie. If you are a makeup junkie like me it is a great addition to your collection.
Its a great palette but it definitely isn't my favourite. It has some really unique shades which I love. Plum and Navy are so amazing because they are matte and incredibly pigmented. Then the Jade shade is also gorgeous and could be one of my favourite shades in the palette. I also love the shade Rose shade and use it pretty much every time I use this palette. The shade Nectar is also a fantastic transition colour.

I love this palette and I love the mattes in this as well. I really enjoy matte shadows. I definitely think that it is a palette that has some variety but it isn't the palette I would recommend as a first palette as there is a few colours that are great for everyday but I don't think everyone would use as a plum and a navy all the time.

First Half:
Top Row L-R: Buff, Lt. Brown, Cool Gray, Nectar
Bottom Row L-R- Snow, Beige, Rose, Mocha

Second Half
Top Row L-R: Plum, Navy, Charcoal, Black
Bottom Row L-R: Chrome, Silver, Jade, Cocoa

Top Row L-R: Buff, Lt. Brown, Cool Gray, Nectar, Plum, Navy, Charcoal, Black

Bottom Row L-R: Snow, Beige, Rose, Mocha, Chrome, Silver, Jade, Cocoa
Today is my birthday so as a birthday present to me can you please all share this post for me? Thank you so much! Thanks for reading and as always please leave any comments or recommendations for posts you would like me to do. I am hoping that next week there I can do an everyday makeup routine

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Now, I just had to review this palette. Spoiler Alert: It is my favourite palette in my (quite extensive) collection.

This was the first high end palette I bought myself about 18 months ago. It is a very versatile palette and fantastic for beginners. I used this so much one of the eyeshadows are nearly gone. The shadows are beautifully pigmented besides the pink colour called Strawberry Bon Bon it was a little bit disappointing but it still has a place. I have used it to tone down looks. My favourite shade is Marzipan which is a beautiful champagne shade. I love using this palette and I always love the look that I come up with. It is a palette where it is hard to go wrong (in my opinion).

I do have a few packaging complaints. When I got mine the lid was broken so I am unable to travel with it which is such a shame because it is my favourite palette. And the packaging is very bulky but the new version isn't which is great :) Also they don't have the names of the colours so its hard to know the names of the colours when you reference them for blogs and videos but I don't think the average person would mind.I just glued mine in my makeup book (if you want a post on that I can do that). But despite all this I would still highly recommend it!

Bottom Row Top to Bottom: Champagne Truffle, Cherry Cordial, Haute Chocolate, Creme Brûlée, Hazelnut

Top Row Top to Bottom: Triple Fudge, Black Forest Truffle, Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Gilded Ganache

Middle Row Top to Bottom: Ameretto, Candied Violet, Strawberry Bon Bon, Semi-Sweet, Marzipan, Salted Caramel

Second Half

I told you this was my favourite shade. I think I will cry when it is used up
